With the support of the Mediators Association of Georgia the Center for Alternative Dispute Resolution Mechanism was opened on the basis of the Memorandum of Understanding signed between Grigol Robakidze University and the Association.

The mediation center was opened with a solemn ceremony and welcomed by the invited guests, Irakli Kandashvili, Chairman of the Mediators Association of Georgia; Mamuka Tavkhelidze, Rector of Grigol Robakidze University; Giorgi Amilakhvari, Chairman of the Education and Science Committee of the Parliament of Georgia, Tornike Cheishvili, Chairman of the Georgian Bar Association, Davit Asatiani, and Vano Bolkvadze, Director of the High School of Justice.

 



The functioning and activities of the center will first help Grun's students to practically strengthen the theoretical knowledge gained during the mediation lecture course; In addition, with the help of the Center, in order to scientifically study mediation and arbitration, scientific research will be carried out, drafts will be developed, joint discussions will be planned, results will be summarized, cooperation with international experts and leading specialists will be developed. This whole process is carried out with high student involvement.

 



Grigol Robakidze University is one of the first universities to establish a mandatory training course in an accredited bachelor's degree program of law within the framework of the Memorandum of Cooperation.
