Irakli Kandashvili's working meeting with UNICEF Representative

Irakli Kandashvili, Chairperson of the Georgian Association of Mediators, held an introductory working meeting with Mr. Ghassan Khalil, UNICEF Representative in Georgia.

The parties discussed the format of future collaboration, joint projects and plans aimed at protecting the rights of children and addressing their needs in Georgia in an effective and peaceful manner.

It is noteworthy that within the framework of the Code of the Rights of the Child, enacted on September 1, 2020, regulation of the best interests of the child through the mediation mechanism is of utmost importance and the Georgian Association of Mediators plans a number of interesting initiatives in this direction.
