The first meeting of the working group working on the concept of a continuous professional education system for mediators

According to the 2020-2025 Strategic Development Plan of the Mediators Association of Georgia, a mandatory continuing education system for existing mediators will be introduced in 2022.

The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) Rule of Law Support Project in Georgia (PROLoG) supports the introduction of a compulsory system of continuing professional education for mediators in Georgia.

The first meeting of the working group working on the concept of the compulsory professional education system for mediators was held today.

The working group is composed of representatives of the mediation profession, as well as the professions of judges and lawyers, international experts and international organizations operating in the country.

The Georgian Mediators Association wishes success to the Continuing Vocational Education Working Group of Mediators and considers this initiative as one of the most important preconditions for the introduction and gaining of the mediator profession in the country.
