Training for the Members of the Ethics Commission

 

online training was organized with the support of USAID / PROLoG for the members of the Ethics Commission of Mediators Association of Georgia on disciplinary procedures led by American expert James Moliterno. The training was welcomed by USAID / PROLoG Representative - Ekaterine Lortkipanidze, Chairman of the Mediators Association of Georgia - Irakli Kandashvili, and Chairperson of the Ethics Commission of the Mediators Association of Georgia - Sophio Dughashvili. The training included an open discussion on the newly approved Code of Professional Ethics for Mediators and the Regulation on Disciplinary Proceedings of Mediators. At a later stage, participants engaged in mock disciplinary proceedings made by expert, where they had to be reassigned to small groups and adjusted to the roles of investigative and review panel members, including discussing the use of disciplinary measures, making decisions, and writing resolutions.
