Mediators Association of Georgia held the first training course on mediation ethics

Mediators Association of Georgia, with the support of the USAID Rule of Law Program, developed a mandatory training program on mediation ethics within the framework of continuous professional education of mediators.

Mediators Association of Georgia participated in the webinar planned by the Arbitration and Mediation Center of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) and Sakpatent, which was about alternative dispute resolution methods.

The event was held within the framework of the memorandum of understanding signed between WIPO and the National Intellectual Property Center "Sakpatent". At the webinar, Irakli Kandashvili, the chairman of the Mediators Association of Georgia, made a presentation about the principles of the mediation process and the enforcement of settlement agreements in Georgia.

A memorandum of cooperation was signed between the Mediators Association of Georgia and the Government of the Autonomous Republic of Abkhazia

The memorandum aims to implement joint initiatives and measures. The document was signed by Irakli Kandashvili, the chairman of the Mediators Association of Georgia, and Nana Gabelia, the Minister of Justice and Civil Integration of the Autonomous Republic of Abkhazia.

Under the auspices of the Mediation Committee of the European Bar Association (AEA-EAL), a webinar was held on the topic - the role of the lawyer in the mediation process.

The aim of this initiative is to raise awareness about mediation in society. The first meeting was held in Rustavi, which was chaired by Irakli Kandashvili, the chairman of the Mediators Association of Georgia and Sofio Tkemaladze, the advisor in the direction of ADR of the USAID Rule of Law Program.

A mediation center was opened in Akhaltsikhe District Court

Another new judicial mediation center was opened by the Chairman of the Mediators Association of Georgia, Irakli Kandashvili, the Chairman of the Civil Affairs Chamber of the Supreme Court of Georgia, Giorgi Mikoutadze, and the Acting Chairman of the Akhaltsikhe District Court, Anait Oganesian.

Mediators Association of Georgia participated in the event organized by the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF).

Within the framework of supporting the reform of child-friendly justice in Georgia, the United Nations Children's Fund developed and presented the analysis "Child-friendly justice in Georgia - implementation concept".

Under the auspices of the Council of Europe, the project "Promotion of alternative dispute resolution mechanisms in Georgia" was launched, the purpose of which is to develop alternative mechanisms in the direction of justice in the country.

The meeting of the first steering committee of the Council of Europe project was held, where, along with the Mediators Association of Georgia, various organizations involved in the justice process took part.
