"Mediators Association of Georgia", supported by the USAID Rule of Law Program, held a meeting with mediators.

The purpose of the meeting was to share experiences between mediators. Irakli Kandashvili, Chairman of the Mediators Association of Georgia, welcomed the participants. Experienced mediators and heads of Tbilisi and Mtskheti judicial mediation centers, Elene Orjonikidze and Natia Chitashvili, shared their experience with the new members of the association and introduced them to the specifics of the work of the judicial centers, and also talked about the problems in the centers.

Non-judicial mediation development project

Mediators Association of Georgia supports the effective implementation of the non-judicial mediation mechanism in Georgia, because the effective operation of the non-judicial mediation system is a prerequisite for the disputing parties of the civil category to avoid litigation and the further complication of relations between each other, and also helps to prevent potential court proceedings between the disputing parties, Which is a prerequisite for ensuring the right of access to court for the disputing parties and for the realization of quality justice in Georgia.

Mediators Association of Georgia, with the support of the USAID Rule of Law Program, developed a mandatory training program on mediation ethics within the framework of continuous professional education of mediators.
