EWMI held a hybrid event to strengthen the rule of law, with more than 100 representatives from the courts, local and international NGOs, universities and the media. At the event, the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and the East-West Management Institute (EWMI) presented a new, five-year rule of law program. The program includes projects to be implemented in 2022-2026, which provide for the strengthening of the rule of law, the independence of the judiciary and the provision of better access to justice for all segments of society. Irakli Kandashvili, Chairman of the Mediators Association of Georgia, took part in the event and addressed the participants with a welcoming speech. He stressed the need for the widespread introduction of mediation, which would lead to even more effective access to justice.
