Mediators Association of Georgia, with the support of the USAID Rule of Law Program, held another meeting with the new members of the Georgian Bar Association.

The chairman of the Mediators Association of Georgia, Irakli Kandashvili, and the USAID Rule of Law Program ADR advisor, Irakli Gelovani, welcomed the participants. 

Irakli Kandashvili spoke about mediation and noted that it is very important for lawyers to have thorough knowledge of the mediation process. 

There was a lot of interest from lawyers at the meeting, many interesting questions were asked, and new members of the lawyers' association expressed their desire to participate in various trainings in order to get more information about mediation. 

Mediators Association of Georgia will hold such meetings frequently, because the awareness of lawyers regarding the mediation process is very important and will contribute to raising awareness about mediation in the society.
