This time the meeting was held in Kutaisi, which was attended by lawyers working in this region.
The project is implemented with the support of the USAID Rule of Law Program and aims to increase awareness about mediation.
The meeting was opened by Irakli Kandashvili, the chairman of the Mediators Association of Georgia, and Sofo Tkemaladze, the USAID Rule of Law Program ADR advisor.
Irakli Kandashvili, the chairman of the Mediators Association of Georgia, spoke to the lawyers about the necessity, importance and role of mediation, and also explained that lawyers should be effective representatives in mediation and convey information correctly to the client.
The meeting continued with an interesting discussion and question-answer mode.
Similar meetings are planned in the future as well, so that a wide circle of lawyers can be properly and thoroughly informed about mediation.
