Certification Programme for Mediators approved! The second General Meeting of the Georgian Association of Mediators reviewed and approved the Certification Programme for Mediators to define the system of joining mediators’ profession in the future. In the format of the second General Meeting of the Georgian Association of Mediators, Chairperson of the Association, Irakli Kandashvili presented a report on performed work.
The Association's 2020-2025 Strategy was developed with the support of the European Union and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). LEPL Georgian Association of Mediators was founded on December 14, 2019 on the basis of the Law of Georgia on Mediation now uniting 54 active mediators.
Mediation is an alternative dispute resolution mechanism that allows the parties to a conflict to negotiate in their best interests, with the involvement of a neutral third party mediator, and to reach a mutually beneficial agreement in a timely manner and at a lower cost.
