Elisabed Shengelia - mediator since 2026
Head of the Legal Department of the Passenger Transportation Branch of JSC Georgian Railway, Strategic Disputes Consultant, and practicing Attorney-at-Law. Holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Law and a Master’s Degree in Private Law from Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University.
Has over nine years of professional experience in the fields of civil and administrative law, including labour litigation, corporate and commercial law, intellectual property law, contract law, and administrative proceedings. Over the course of her professional career, has represented clients in more than 200 court disputes with a consistently high rate of success and possesses extensive experience before courts of all instances, as well as in alternative dispute resolution and mediation proceedings.
In 2022, successfully completed a 60-hour certified mediation-training programme. During 2024–2025, successfully completed the practical stages of the mediator certification programme, including assessment of practical mediation competencies and real-time mediation facilitation skills.
Since 2023, has served as the Founder, Director, and Trainer of the Practical Learning Center (PLC), where she delivers educational and professional training programmes in civil and administrative law and contributes to the professional training and development of future lawyers and attorneys. With her participation, more than 3,000 legal professionals have undergone professional training programmes.
Also serves as a certified trainer in Intellectual Property Law and as an invited trainer at the Justice Training Centre of Georgia. Throughout her professional career, has received several professional distinctions and recognitions, including the title of “Lawyer of the Year.”
Co-author of a practical handbook on Labour Law and author of scholarly publications on legal issues.
