Moris Gigauri – mediator since 2026

Lawyer, Master of Law

Currently, Moris Gigauri is a lawyer at BDO Legal.

He holds both Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Law from Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University, both completed with honors. His Master’s thesis focused on the combined use of mediation and arbitration (so-called Med-Arb, Arb-Med, Med-Arb-Med, etc.) in dispute resolution and represents one of the first academic works on this subject in Georgia.

As part of his professional development, Moris has successfully completed a number of international and specialized training programs, including the course in European Information Technology Law organized by the University of Münster, Germany (2024–2025). He has also completed the Council of Europe HELP course “Introduction to the European Convention on Human Rights and the European Court of Human Rights” (2026). In addition, he has completed a specialized course in “Intellectual Property Law” organized by Sakpatenti. He has passed the Georgian Bar Exams (general specialization, 2025) and actively participates in professional development trainings and programs, including those related to anti-money laundering (BDO, 2025; PwC, 2022).

Moris Gigauri has several years of practical experience in the legal field. Since 2022, he has been working as a lawyer at BDO Legal (BDO Georgia), where he provides legal support to individuals and legal entities in the fields of private and administrative law. He is also an invited trainer at the LEPL Justice Training Center of Georgia (since 2023), where he delivers trainings and seminars on various legal topics.

In addition, he has experience working in arbitration, having worked at a permanent arbitration institution (“Dispute Resolution Center – Fair Arbitrator”), where he was involved in case administration, communication with parties, and ensuring procedural processes.
