Nino Jolia - mediator since 2024
Currently, Head of Legal Department at Grant Thornton (Georgia), an international auditing and business consulting company, Associate Professor, Expert, Trainer, Mentor, Accredited Mediator.
A lawyer/economist by profession, researcher and expert in technology law. She holds a diploma of a qualified specialist in International Economic Law from Georgian Technical University (equivalent to a master's degree, with a business lawyer qualification) (LLB/LLM in International Economic Law (Joint Program)), a Master's degree in European Studies (EU Law) in collaboration with Tbilisi State University and Pierre Mendes University of France, and a PhD in Economics from Georgian Technical University. She is also a doctoral candidate (PhD (c) in Law) in Technology Law at Caucasus International University.
Regarding professional experience: From 2019 to present – Head of Legal Department at "Grant Thornton" LLC, 2017-2018 – Head of Legal Department at "AgroPlan Georgia" LLC, 2015-2018 – General Counsel at JSC "Humanity Georgia" (JSC "Partnership Fund" project), 2010-2015 – Lawyer at Patent Office of Patent Attorney, 2006-2010 – Business Lawyer at LLC "Astac Georgia".
Nino is a member of the legal committees of American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham), European Business Association (EBA), and Business Federation "Women for Tomorrow", an expert trainer at the Center for International Private Enterprise (CIPE), and an international expert at the Research Institute for International Trade and Investments (RIITI).
Nino is actively engaged in scientific-academic activities. She is an Associate Professor and Invited Lecturer at various universities, as well as a trainer and mentor at Grant Thornton Academy. Nino has published numerous scientific works and articles on business-legal issues and is a co-author of the textbook "International Economic Law".
Nino is an accredited mediator. Her mediation case review area includes: corporate, labor, contractual, obligatory, and property rights violation disputes.
