The Georgian Association of Mediators is pleased to announce the entry into force of the Singapore Convention on Mediation, also known as the United Nations (UN) Convention on International Settlement Agreements Resulting from Mediation.
This is an important development in settlement of international commercial disputes by way of mediation.
With the entry into force of the Convention, businesses around the world will have more guarantees to try to resolve international disputes through mediation, as the Convention provides more effective means of enforcing mediation outcomes.
The Georgian Association of Mediators congratulates all interested parties and emphasizes particular contribution of the Ministry of Justice of Georgia and personal involvement of the Minister of Justice of Georgia at an important stage of Georgia's accession to the Convention.
