European University has joined the Georgian Association of Mediators with a Memorandum of Cooperation. The involvement of universities in the introduction and development of mediation is important. An active process of mutual cooperation continues. A Memorandum of Cooperation between the Georgian Association of Mediators and the European University was signed on June 23. The signatories of the Memorandum are Irakli Kandashvili, Chairperson of the Georgian Association of Mediators and Tamar Kordzaia, Rector of the European University.
According to the Memorandum of Cooperation, the Georgian Association of Mediators and the European University have launched a three-month mediation project to resolve labor disputes caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, which, with the support of the European Union and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), will help to resolve disputes between employers and employees caused as a result of the pandemic peacefully, in a timely manner and at a lower cost.
