Irina Batiashvili – Mediator from 2023

 

Mediator and member of Mediators Association of Georgia. Doctor of Law. Expert on Gender Issues and Aging Policy .Currently, Consultant (expert) to the Director General of LLC „Tbilisi Energy” on Gender Issues; Leading Analyst of Training Center of Justice of Georgia; Member of Editorial Board of International Scientific Journal “Law and World"; Certified Trainer on ECHR by Council of Europe; Representative and party of Memorandum of Understanding between Fraunhofer Institute for Systems and Innovation Research ISI and the Caucasus International University (CIU); Member of Intellectual Property Law Committee of Georgian Bar Association. In 2024 Researcher of the Analytical Department of the Ministry of Justice on the rights of older persons; lawyer. In 2023 Invited Specialist of the Gender Equality Council of the Parliament of Georgia; Researcher at the Institute of Law of European University.

Irina Batiashvili's scientific works are published in various international refereed journals. In 2019-2021 she was a member of the Mediation and Arbitration Committee of the Georgian Bar Association. From 2017-2021, she was a lecturer at the Law and International Relations Faculty of Georgian Technical University, Lecture subject: Constitutional Law; Human Rights. As for professional achievements: She is author of report and Research of Gender Equality Council of Parliament of Georgia, Analysis of the inclusion of domestic workers/informal economy actors in the pension scheme with the aim of formalizing the informal economy, 2023. She is coordinator and expert on gender issues in STI of Tbilisi State University and Fraunhofer ISI joint project. The mentioned project is funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (2025).

In Dubai, she was a panelist (as a Mediator) and Participant in the Global Trade Facilitation Summit and Trade Law and Compliance Conference organized by the International Chamber of Commerce UAE and the Institute of International Banking Law and Practice (2024).

She had cooperation with Fraunhofer Institute for Systems and Innovation Research ISI. (September 2023; March 2025, Germany Karlsruhe).

She was one of the speakers at the 2nd edition of The European Colloquia on Mediation - the Department of Law (School of Law) of the University of MILAN - BICOCCA.

She was speaker of International Mediation Symposium – Center of International Legal Studies (18-21 May, 2023, Salzburg, Austria).

Irina Batiashvili was invited to Gender & Diversity Studies at the   Institute for   Social   Sciences of  Christian-Albrechts-University   Kiel, Germany. (November-December, 2023).
